Wayne Douglas Green was born February 3rd, 1954 in Lake Village Arkansas, to the late Alcorn Jr. and Bertha Lee Green. He attended Central High School in his hometown, making many wonderful and life time friends. He had a passion for music that played an important part of his life. He loved singing, playing the drums and guitar and being a part-time DJ. Like butterflies in the wind he came this far by faith and prayer and united with the Longley Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR under the leadership of Dr. Dwight D. Townsend. Wayne served as the Greeter’s in men’s ministries until his health failed him.
He’s gone to a place where he has never been before. Having lived 63 years on this earth was a sweet experience. The clock of life is wound but once and no man can tell when the clock will stop at a late or early hour. His clock stopped on January 9th, 2018.
Wayne retired from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and has enjoyed his retirement with his loveable grandchildren Demetrius II, Tieranae’, Ted Jr., Kaitlyn, Emanual, Landen, Logan, and Lauryn.
His job now is in his Father’s house where he is now seeing his beloved wife Linda Carol, sister’s Marva and Shirley, grandparents Alcorn Sr. & Emma, Harry Sr. & Matilda.
So as seasons change, so does life. Because of HIS grace your tears are tears of joy. Because of HIS grace it is the little things that count. Because of HIS grace “Wayne Is Good”. HE has called him home.
