July 29, 1958, John Marvin Fisher was born the sixth child of Bernice Jones Fisher in Lake Village, Arkansas.
Some forty plus years ago Marvin (as the family called him) along with his brother Ricky and cousin Mary was baptized in Lake Chicot with Rev. Clyde Miller then pastor of Christian Liberty.
John was a 1977 graduate of Lakeside High School and eventually went on to work for the Corps of Engineers for a number of years.
John united in marriage with Chester Haney July 23, 2008. Shortly, after Marvin’s health began to fail and he would not recover wholly and eventually was placed into the Lake Village Rehabilitation Center for further care where he remained until his last crisis.

He is survived by his wife, Chester, one son, Travis Mills of Little Rock, three daughters; Mary (Karai) Mays, San Antonia, TX, Katrina McGhee of Eldorado, AR, Tameka Haney of Lake Village, AR. Three brothers, Tony Stewart of Perrysburg, OH, Edward Fisher of Kenosha, WI and Ronnie Fisher of Racine, WI. Five sisters, Blanchie (Donald) Reaves of Oklahoma City OK, Jacqueline Anderson, Donna Coleman, TiaJuanne (Charles) Burchfield and Latoshia (Berdell) Willis all of Lake Village, AR. Marvin loved his ten grandchildren, his nieces and nephews and other relatives and special friends.
