Mary Ollis Valdez, age 62, of Lake Village died Monday, December 14, 2020, at the University of Arkansas Medical Science of Little Rock, AR. Mrs. Valdez was born December 27, 1957, in Morgan City, LA to the late Harvey Ollis and the late Verna (Barras) Ollis. She was a loving wife to husband Mike Valdez and mother to her 6 children. Mary is preceded in death by her two brothers; David Ollis and Harvey John Ollis; three sisters, Anna Ollis Landry, Constance Ollis, and Michelle Hotard. She is survived by her husband: Mike Valdez; three sons; Jamie (Andrea) Dupre, Anthony Duthu (Jaime) Guidroz, and Joshua Valdez; three daughters; Katrina (Douglas) Bonvillain, Jessica Valdez, and Tamara (Brian) Duthu; two sisters; Elizabeth Charpentier, Hope (John) Maynard, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and other family. Mom loved all of her family, she also loved gardening, fishing, baking, and arts and crafts. She loved a variety of music but seeing her dancing and singing to Janice Joplin and Tina Turner was the best. She enjoyed her trips with pops, especially their Mexico vacation. Mom was beyond spoiled by pops and she loved every minute of it! Her last words to pops were, "they weren't together long enough!" Walk-through visitation will be held December 18th from 10-11 am with Graveside service following at 11:00 am at Lake Village Cemetery, Lake Village, AR. Family request donations are made to Bishop-King Funeral Home in lieu of flowers. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village, Arkansas.
