Laverne Stover, 88, of Oak Grove, LA passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021. She was born on June 9, 1933, to her parents, Rodden and Mary Ellen Smith Williamson. Laverne was an active member of Goodwill Church of God and enjoyed attending church functions. Some of her favorite past times included gardening with her husband, sewing and making clothes for her children, and above all spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Ray Stover; her parents, two daughters, Carolyn Connell and Rhonda Arnett; three brothers, Curtis Williamson, Rodden “Buster” Williamson JR., and John Williamson; one sister, Trudy Gathings. Laverne is survived by three daughters, Darlene Calloway (Timbo), Kona Waits (Lane), Hope Bennett (Terry Lochala); one son, Stanley Stover (Denise), one brother, Bill Williamson (Dot), five sisters, Yvonne Lieux (Danny), Florence Foreman (Robert), Betty Tate, Melba Durr, and Patsy McMillan (Murl); 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and one on the way; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
