Leroy Carnelle Plummer, SR., 88, of Lake Village passed away on August 12, 2022, in Little Rock. He was born on June 3, 1934, to the late Gus and Lillie Martin Plummer. Leroy worked for the County Road Department for 47 years and on a riverboat for 44 years. He was a member of Woodson Temple Missionary Baptist Church and volunteered during elections to transport people back and forth to be able to take part in voting. Leroy enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Charley Plummer and Charles Brock; five brothers, Edward, Delma, Clarence, Alonzo, and Andrew Plummer; three sisters, Ellen Brandon, Pearl Tolliver, and Nancy Plummer. Leroy is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Dolly Johnson Plummer; five daughters, Briadia Carter (Andrew) of Lake Village, Princella Plummer Block of Dallas, TX, Thelonia Plummer of St. Louis, MO, Carla Harris (Donald) of Little Rock, AR, Lauren Childs of Dallas, TX ; six sons, Leroy Carnelle Plummer JR., of Little Rock, Roderick Plummer of Las Vegas, NV, Rev. DR. E.N. Fulford (Lillie) of Houston, TX, Laquinta’ Parker of Lake Village, D’Audre Parker (Zandra) of Lake Village, LaQuarius Danye’ Johnson of Lake Village; 42 grandchildren; and a host of great and great-great-grandchildren; mother in law, Lucille Johnson; sister in law, Margie Plummer, close friend, Billy Jones, and his “Bearman” LaQuavian Trey Johnson. Wake will be held Friday, August 19th from 1-5 p.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 20th, at 10:00 A.M. at Central Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Bishop-King Funeral Home.
