Obituary of Elizabeth Hamilton
Martha Elizabeth Hamilton, age 94, of Portland died peacefully, Saturday, June 23, 2018 at West Carroll Memorial Care Center of Oak Grove, LA with her beloved daughters by her side. Liz was born September 8, 1923 in Monroe, LA. She is the daughter of the late William Aaron and the late Ara (Armstrong) Rutledge. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Victor Bozeman and Lowell Hamilton, son, Donnie Bozeman, sisters, Repter Tippen, Leola Davis, and brother, W.A. Rutledge.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Wicker and husband Dan of Portland, AR and Janice Poland and husband Lamar of Oak Grove, LA; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, brother, Buddy Rutledge and daughter-in-law, Mary Bozeman and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friend.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Karen Ferguson. She took care of and was by her side until the very end. Pallbearers are grandsons, Ethan Poland, Jason Poland, Jeffery Poland, Chad Wicker, Brandon Wicker, and Donald Bozeman.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 26 from 5:00 pm-8:00pm at Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village. Funeral Services will be 11:00am on Wednesday, June 27 at Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Village. Burial will be in Rutledge Cemetery in West Monroe, Louisiana on Wednesday, June 27 at 3:00 pm. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may also be made to Rutledge Cemetery, 956 Lapine Road, West Monroe, LA 71292.
