Obituary of James Bell
James David Bell, age 75, of McGehee passed Sunday, August 5, 2018 at McGehee Hospital in McGehee, AR. James was born August 9, 1942 in Eudora, AR. He is the son of the late Lonzo and Ruby Bell. He married Tammy Lynn Bell. He served in the Army from October of 1961 to June of 1967 when he was released back to State of Arkansas National Guard where he continued to serve for four more years. He was employed by J.D. Bell Welding as a Welder.
J.D. was preceded in death by his first wife Brenda Sue Bell, Parents; brother, David Bell; Step-daughter, Debra Bradley; one grandchild T.J. Bell, and two great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife; Tammy Lynn Bell, one son; Jimmy and wife Connie Bell, of Lake Village, AR, three daughters; Kimberly Ann and husband Darin Graham of Lake Village, AR, Karla and husband Mike Albritton of Monticello, AR, and Bridgett and husband Brandon Knight of McGehee, AR. His two sisters Margaret “Aunt Sis” Bell Merritt of Boguechitto, MS and Margie Green of Jerome, AR. J.D. also had three step-daughters; Patricia Bradley, Mandy Bradley, and Jacquie Bradley. J.D. was grandfather to 15 grandchildren; Shenna Bell, Jonathan Lightfoot, Anthony Jones, Amanda Potter, Brittany Graham, Brandy Graham, Jenna Bell, Drew Knight, Dana Armstrong, Alicia Murphy, Jacob Sellars, Matthew Sellars, Maddison Bradley, Marinda McCoy, Levi McCoy, and 26 great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 9 from 5-8pm at Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Bayou Mason Church, with Brother Kyle Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Bayou Mason Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village, Arkansas.
