Obituary of Jeffrey Cannatella
Jeffrey John Cannatella Sr., 57, of Lake Village, AR, died Monday, January 28, 2019 at Baptist Health Hospital in Little Rock, AR, from complications arising after removal of a rare brain tumor. Jeffrey was born June 29, 1961 in New Orleans, LA. He is the son of Marion Jean Cannatella and the late Melvin John Cannatella.
Jeffrey graduated from Subiaco Academy in 1979. He was a graduate of the University of Louisiana in Monroe with a degree in construction management. He worked in the construction industry for over 40 years for Triple E Construction, Inc. and Millar, Inc. He was a skilled craftsman with a natural ability for detailed workmanship in any endeavor he undertook. He was multitalented - a jack-of-all-trades. He wasin estimating, operating heavy equipment, auto and diesel mechanic work, welding, plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
Jeffrey was loved for his good nature and wit. He enjoyed cooking and often would grill steaks, make pans of lasagna, or pots of chili to share with friends and family. His father’s nickname for him was “Fox” because he was clever, subtle and calculating. Jeffrey was an avid outdoorsman who appreciated nature. Hunting and fishing were a favorite past time.
He is survived by his mother, Marion, one son, Jeffrey "John" Cannatella Jr. and his wife Natalie and one grandson Elijah James Cannatella of San Francisco, CA, one brother, Melvin "Jim" Cannatella of Lake Village, AR, and three sisters, Catherine Cannatella of Eudora, AR, Linda "Nellie" Hunter of Madison, MS and Marian Ann Clinton of West Monroe, LA.
Visitation will be Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5:00- 6:00pm in Bishop- King Funeral Home Chapel with Rosary following at 6:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 314 S. Lakeshore Dr, Lake Village, AR with burial following in St. Isidore Cemetery, Lake Village with Father Stephen Hart as Celebrant. A luncheon reception will be held for family and friends at St. Mary’s Parish Hall immediately following the Funeral Mass. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village, Arkansas.
