Obituary of Dorothy Jean Lane
Dorothy Jean Tyler Lane was born July 15, 1939 to Moses Tyler and Alice Blue Tyler. She gained her heavenly wings on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 11:17am.
Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Hope Baptist Church under leadership where she remained a faithful member until death. She was educated at Central High School and Morris Booker College. In March 1962 she married McClinton Lane Sr. Dorothy was employed at Chicot Memorial Hospital where she was Dietary Manager for 31 years. After retirement Dorothy enjoyed her family, her novels, and caffeine free diet cokes. She was an honest straight to the point person that said what she meant and meant what she said.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one daughter, Lisa Lorrain Tyler.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her precious memories, two sons, Mc Clinton (Tremica) Lane Jr, of Lake Village, Karai (Mary) Mays of Converse, TX and two daughters, Alice (Shawn) Dugas of Lafayette, LA and Nora Lane of Lake Village, AR, Seventeen grandchildren, Tyriece, McClinton III, Angel, Ta Lisa, D'Myrah, Danielle, Nicole, Gariah, Marcus, Keon, Destinee, Kharion, Senaite, Kyan, Logan, Ayanna, and De' Andre, twenty-one great grandkids, 3 sister cousins, Gloria Webb, Chicago, Il, Brenda Green, and Debra (Frank) Reed of Lake Village, AR, two close Friends, Henrietta Kingston, and Rosie Proctor, As well as a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Home Going Celebration will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church in Lake Village, Arkansas with burial following in New Cemetery, north of Lake Village. Repast will be held at New Hope Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
