Obituary of Rosia Delphine Tumey

Rosia Delphine Tumey, age 88, of Lake Village died Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Delta Regional Medical Center of Greenville, MS. Mrs. Tumey was born August 21, 1931 in Lake Village, AR to the late Tom Tumey and the late Ora Delphine (Penn) Tumey She entered into the workforce in Benton and later went to Pine Bluff where she lived and worked for many years. Later she returned home and cared for her mother, in her mother’s final years. She loved her family. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing and had a very artistic mind. She was known for having a good heart toward everyone! She also loved to hunt and fish. Her faith was strong and she often spoke of her love for Jesus. Her final years was spent with her sister Nancy. Preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, Fred, Floyd, John, Henry, Bobby Joe, Barley and her twin, Roy David Tumey; 2 sister: Annie Mae Hamblin, and Minnie Vardman. She is survived by her one biological daughter: Marilyn Hogue and husband, William of Cabot, AR; one sister: Nancy Henderson of Lake Village, AR; 2 biological grandchildren, Bobby, and Tyler and great-granddaughter, Aireabella; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family. Visitation is Friday, June 5 from 1:00-2:00pm with funeral services held at 2:00pm at Bishop-King Funeral Home, 1831 S Highway 82-65, Lake Village, AR. Burial will follow in Lake Village Cemetery under the direction of Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village, Arkansas.
