Obituary of Randall Dean Tuggle

Randall Dean Tuggle, age 70, of Lake Village passed away Friday, September 3, 2021. Randall was born August 26, 1951 in Gideon, MO to the late Thomas Gerald Tuggle and the late Christine (Lindley) Tuggle. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Joseph Gabriel Tuggle, Paternal Grandparents, Carlie and Elsie Tuggle; Maternal Grandparents, David and Nona Lindley; and two brothers, Jerry Tuggle and Rickey Tuggle. He is survived by one son, Randy Tuggle and wife, Patricia, of Madison, MS; one daughter Alicia Tuggle Bell and husband, Justin, of Blytheville, AR; two sisters, Kathy Tuggle of Atlanta, GA and Christy Gautney and husband, Jim, of Cave City, AR.; one brother, Tommy Tuggle and wife, Karen, of Mound City, KS.; four grandchildren, Annika Tuggle, Adley Tuggle, William “Hayes” Bell, and Kennedy Bell. Randall’s family moved to Lake Village when he was 12 years old and began farming soybeans and rice. Later on, his family ventured into catfish farming. Randall started catfish farming on his own in 1979 and owned and operated Tuggle Fish Farm for more than 30 years and was elected Chicot County Farm Family of the year in 1986. He was a loving and cherished father of three and grandfather of four. He was a devout Christian serving the local church through the years in multiple capacities and also making multiple missionary trips. He was an active Gideon and passionate about spreading the Good News of the Gospel. Randall was a member of the LV Chamber of Commerce for more than 40 years, serving twice as President and receiving the 2017 Man of the Year award. He served as the Lake Village Harvest Festival chairman for several years and also served on multiple local business boards in the community. Randall served as the Chicot County Chairman of the Republican party and the 1st Vice Chairman of the 1st Congressional District Republican party of Arkansas for multiple years. He was an avid gardener and was very active in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives. Randall’s dedication to his community was shown through his countless volunteer hours and willingness to serve anyone who crosses his path. His heart’s desire was to help build strong and entrepreneurial supportive relationships in Chicot County which he loved and called home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 8th from 9:30am-10:45am at LVA Church with funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Marty Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in Jennie Cemetery under the direction of Bishop-King Funeral Home.
