Obituary of Harold Eugene Smith
Harold “Cracker” Eugene Smith, SR., 77, a lifelong resident of Eudora died Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born November 9, 1943, to his parents, Melvin Eugene Smith and Mary Frances Smith. He owned his own business for years and was the best welder God ever created. He also had a tow truck business, which he dearly loved. Harold served southeast Arkansas from the time he was able to pick up that first welding rod and drive that first tow truck.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Elmer Smith; and one sister, Wanda Taylor.
Harold is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Smith; three sons, Eugene Smith, Landn Smith, and Randy Deason; four daughters, Tonia Garza, Treva Johnson, Mikka Smith, and Sherry Enloe; one brother, Wesley Smith; a sister, Connie Owens; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; special caregiver, Sonya Brown who helped take care of him until the end; and a host of other friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 31st, 2:00-2:30 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, AR with service to follow.
