Maurenella Antionette “Annette” Nelson, 69, of Dermott passed away on October 28, 2022, in Little Rock. She was born on August 2, 1953, in New Orleans, LA to the late Edward James Morgan and Josephine Robinson. Annette was a veteran of the Unites States Army and served 20 years from 1976-1996, a devoted member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Dermott, and a member of the American Legion. Annette loved the Lord, cooking New Orleans style food, and bowling. She is preceded in death by 3 sisters, Adlean Henry, Denise Morgan, and Fredia Robinson; 4 brothers, Edward Morgan Jr., twin brothers, Tyron and Jerome Morgan, and Fredrick Robinson. Annette is survived by her husband, Dock Nelson; 4 daughters, Veronica Jackson (Antonio) of Star City, AR, Jennifer Nelson of Dermott, Sabrina Nelson of McGehee, and Valencia Rainey (Darrius); one sister, Gwen Morgan of Gonzales, LA; 2 brothers, Darrell Morgan of LaPlace, LA, and Keith Morgan of Louisiana; 5 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Dermott.
